PURRFECT PET SITTERS GETAWAY (PPSG)
Disclaimer & Indemnity
1. INTRODUCTORY SERVICE ONLY
PPSG provides an introductory, listing, and messaging service. It does not control, supervise, employ, or manage users, inspect homes, handle keys, or guarantee pet behaviour, sitter capability, home condition, insurance cover, or that a sit will proceed. All warranties are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.
2. USER DUE DILIGENCE
Each user is solely responsible for verifying the counterpart’s identity, background, references, and suitability and for setting clear house rules and pet‑care instructions.
3. NO INSURANCE
PPSG does not provide insurance. Users must maintain their own cover (Owner: homeowners/contents; Sitter: personal liability/medical may be requested).
4. ALLOCATION OF RISK
(a) Between Owner and Sitter: loss, theft, damage, injury, illness (including pet illness/death) and expenses arising during a sit are matters between the Owner and Sitter, unless caused directly by PPSG’s gross negligence.
(b) Platform Liability Cap: subject to non‑excludable statutory rights, PPSG’s aggregate liability is limited to the greater of three (3) months of the claimant’s subscription fees paid to PPSG in the preceding 12 months or R1,500. Consequential/special/indirect/punitive damages are excluded.
5.IMMIGRATION/VISAS
Cross‑border sits may require permits; PPSG provides no immigration advice and is not responsible for border outcomes.
6.POPIA
Users consent to PPSG processing personal information (identity verification, police checks via accredited providers, fraud prevention, trust/safety and customer service) per PPSG’s Privacy Notice.
7.INDEMNITY
Each user indemnifies PPSG and its personnel/service providers against claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including attorney‑and‑own‑client fees) arising from the user’s breach of the Terms, personal injury, property damage or pet‑related claims during a sit, infringement of rights or unlawful/negligent acts/omissions. This does not apply to PPSG’s gross negligence.
8.DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Before litigation, parties will consider AFSA mediation. Nothing precludes urgent relief in a competent court.
